I like exploring new places, meeting new people, learning their culture, traditions. Italy was the first place I travelled to, and I fell in love with the country, I am still in love with it, with its language, food, style. I visited Italy again during my Christmas holidays. And every time you go there, you always find a lot of cultural heritage places which you haven't visited yet. It was very interesting to explore the Ancient city of Pompei, though we had a limited amount of time. I would love to go back there again.
I am in love with Istanbul - the Capital of three Empires, a beautiful mix of East and West, Ancient and Modern, an amazing historical place where you feel the spirit of the old city, and get the WOW effect from visiting Top-Kapi, Hagia Sophia and Dolmabahçe Sarayi... Istanbul, seni seviyorum :)
Oh, Greek islands, I miss you so much! You were so lovely! Santorini was absolutely amazing!!! I love Devonport in Auckland because it reminds me European old cities.
Spain, Andalusia. Gorgeous Alhambra in Granada. Ronda, we were so incredibly attracted by this old town that we had almost missed our bus back to the hotel, asking locals how to find the bus station and none of those whom we met spoke English, only Spanish, but somehow we could understand each other, and eventually found our bus in-time, was stressful but funny :)
Egypt... Nile... Luxor...The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut... Pharaons' thombs in Valley of the Kings... Am I dreaming? I was reading about all of these at school, at Ancient World History classes! And now I am there?! OMG, it's stunning and mesmerizing. And I broke my Canon 5d :(( No photos, but unforgettable journey:))
And how can I forget my trip to Holy Land?! The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Wailing Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre - I can't believe I have been there. And the funniest day spent at the Dead Sea is unforgettable :)
My first trip has totally changed my life, my way of perception of this world, and broadened my mind. It was such a great feeling, and when I came back home I immediately started planning my next holidays :)
Traveling teaches people far more than anything else. Sometimes one day spent in other places, gives more than ten years of life at home. (Anatole France).
Before moving to New Zealand I visited some different countries over the World, I will post a few pics from some of those places. Such nice memories! Here in Auckland I can meet people of almost all nationalities, no need to travel anymore:) But anyway I'll try to spend every vacation in a new place. My next Christmas holidays will probably be spent somewhere in Scandinavia:)
